Having been a Fiber Artist for more than 30 years,
my passion continues to grow.
I love knowing that something I make can bring warmth and beauty into your world. My belief is that all people are created equally,
uniquely and beautifully.
It is my desire to help you capture and enhance the essence of who you are ...
of who you see yourself to be and how you want to express yourself.
That's why I love to hear from my customers. If you have an idea for something you want but don't see in my shop, send me a message and together we will create something magical.
The idea for the name Front Porch Knits grew from the fact that I live on Main Street in a lovely old 1920's house in a small town, where on warm days you will find me knitting and crocheting on my Front Porch swing, surrounded by my little dogs, birdcages and friendly passersby as I work and enjoy a cup of tea.
My days are spent creating hand knits to stock my shop, prepare for craft fairs, doing repair work on new and vintage pieces and teaching private crochet and knitting lessons in my home. I am a Certified Instructor with the Craft Yarn Council of America.
Working with fiber, whether it's the actual handwork or teaching students, is my full time job. I am so thankful to be able to spend my days doing what I have such a great passion for. Each day is a blessing and a joy to me. The world we live in is such a big beautiful place. I find it amazing that some sticks and string can bring so many wonderful people across my
Front Porch and into my life.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit with me at Front Porch Knits.
May your day be filled with laughter and the people and things you love best,
